The AEP Medicare Readiness Summit will head to Seattle, April 24-25. The agenda is jampacked with sessions designed to supercharge your Medicare Advantage’s AEP strategy for 2025 and beyond. In this article, we highlight one of the opening sessions from a legal team at Faegre Drinker.

The Medicare Advantage industry remains uncertain about how the Trump administration will address policies and regulations. Faegre Drinker’s Tricia Beckmann, J.D., principal (pictured above, left), and Kacey Dugan, director, policy & regulatory affairs (pictured above, right), will offer some clarity during one of the opening sessions at the AEP Medicare Readiness Summit.
Their presentation, which will take place at 10:10 a.m., Thursday, April 24, will analyze potential regulatory changes and their implications under the new administration, examine the adjustment in broker payment structures and the results of the stay, and provide insights into anticipated regulatory trends for 2026 and beyond.
By the time of the conference, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will likely have released its 2026 Medicare Advantage Final Rule, and the industry will know which provisions proposed by the Biden Administration in the Advance Notice that the Trump administration will finalize, revise, or eliminate entirely.
"I think this conference is timed well to allow stakeholders to get prepared for the next annual enrollment period,” Beckmann told RISE. “Generally speaking, we do see policies finalized by this time because they need to before the bids are submitted. We’ll be able to share information that provides more certainty about the next enrollment period.”
Added Dugan, “Even in the absence of definitive information about the specific Medicare Advantage policies the new administration will pursue, this session will create an opportunity to share and discuss where we think they are likely to go, and what that means for plans.”
In addition to Beckmann and Dugan’s session, the summit will feature panel discussions on lessons learned from the 2025 AEP and OEP season, engaging and retaining your D-SNP population, harnessing the power of AI in Medicare, optimizing your broker training program, addressing utilization and value of supplemental benefits, and maximizing membership growth through agent/physician collaboration.
