Ken Huang, CISSP, co-chair, AI Safety Working Groups and AI STR Working Group, will be the keynote speaker at the AI in Health Care Summit, an in-person conference designed for health care professionals to better understand the foundations of artificial intelligence and its potential, which will take place January 13-14, 2025, with preconference workshops on January 12, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.
Huang, who serves as chief AI officer of DistributedApps.ai, which provides training and consulting services for Generative AI Security, will kick off the first day of the main conference on Monday, January 13, with a keynote that will address how to empower business transformation and lead with AI across your organization. After the presentation, he will also sign copies of his new book, “The Handbook for Chief AI Officers: Leading the AI Revolution in Business.”
It doesn’t matter what the title is of the person overseeing the organization’s AI strategy and implementation, the key is that someone takes on the responsibility and acts as a bridge between technology and business, Huang recently told RISE. All health care organizations must have a dedicated leader who manages all AI-related opportunities and challenges, he said.
During his keynote, Huang will address challenges to adoption, pitfalls to avoid, and how to cultivate an AI culture, as well as AI issues specific to health care, including AI technology trends, AI agents, AI security challenges, health care data management, risk management, outlook, and best practices.
The three-day AI in Health Care Summit, which includes a preconference half-day workshop on AI regulatory and compliance issues in health care on Sunday, January 12, is designed for those with beginning to intermediate AI knowledge who want to streamline organizational processes and leverage the full potential of AI. In addition to Huang’s keynote presentation, the conference will feature sessions that address AI governance, Generative AI, coding and documentation capture with Generative AI, key considerations and insights for payers, how to enhance the member experience, AI and cybersecurity innovations, revenue cycle management, navigating vendor management, and ethical considerations.
