RISE National 2025: 3 exciting additions to the annual Medicare Advantage mega conference

This year features a new location, an extra day of content, and a new track. Find out what’s planned when RISE National heads to San Antonio, March 11-14.

Everything is bigger in Texas so naturally RISE National is bigger too. Check out what we’ve added to elevate this year’s conference experience.

1. More time for content, regulatory updates, and networking opportunities

RISE National will take place over four days:

  • Preconference workshops (additional registration required) will take place on Tuesday, March 11 and Wednesday morning, March 12.

  • The main conference will kick off at 1 p.m. Wednesday with general and track sessions followed by a welcome cocktail reception in the exhibit hall.

  • Thursday, March 13 features a full day of content beginning with a networking breakfast at 8 a.m., special sessions with the Office of Inspector General and Department of Justice, track sessions, interactive roundtables, and a networking cocktail reception.

  • The final day on Friday, March 14 will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a networking breakfast, followed by interactive roundtables, the presentation of the RISE Trailblazer Award, dynamic keynote presentations, and track sessions before concluding at 12:30 p.m.

2. A new track: Regulatory Compliance Theater

Attendees will have a chance to choose from sessions in six tracks on Thursday, March 13. In addition to tracks on risk adjustment strategies, integrating silos, quality and member experience, hot topics, and technology/data analytics, RISE National will feature a new track on regulatory compliance. Placed in the heart of the exhibit hall, the Regulatory Compliance Theater will allow attendees to hear from governing bodies about upcoming changing regulations.

Scheduled sessions within the track include:

Anatomy of a whistleblower case: Examining a successful False Claims Act
Whistleblower Teresa Ross, a former director of risk adjustment at Group Health Cooperative (GHC), and her counsel, Mary A. Inman and Max Voldman, partners at Whistleblower Partners LLP, will walk through her successful lawsuit against health insurers GHC and Independent Health for alleged risk adjustment fraud.

OIG updates and guidance for managed care
Five representatives from the Office of Inspector General will provide updates on recent oversight and enforcements efforts in managed care. The panel will review recent and ongoing audits and evaluations regarding Medicare Advantage plans that continue to raise concerns about the accuracy of risk adjustment data and payments. They’ll also discuss compliance issues for managed care and discuss recent fraud cases and trends.

Bridging the gaps: The evolving role of CBOs in SDoH, health equity, and interoperable social care
A panel, led by Rick Whited, president & CEO, U.S. Hunger, will explore how diverse sectors are working to integrate community-based organizations (CBPs) directly into social care and health care systems. Panelists will discuss how strategic partnerships drive impact, what makes these efforts scalable, and why interprofessional collaboration is essential in addressing the needs of vulnerable communities.

3. A new location: San Antonio

The weather doesn’t get much better than March in San Antonio. Temperatures typically reach 74 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 51 degrees Fahrenheit in the evening, perfect for a strolling the scenic San Antonio River Walk, one of the most visited places in Texas.
