The Special Needs Plan Leadership Summit: New concurrent track sessions to bring more content than ever

The annual event is the only non-association conference that brings together Special Needs Plan (SNP) professionals to stay current in a highly regulated and evolving environment. For the first time, this year’s summit, held May 1-3 in New York City, will feature dual track sessions on both days of the main conference.

The Special Needs Plan Leadership Summit will feature a two-part preconference workshop, 25 specialized presenters, 23 value-packed topics, and eight scheduled networking opportunities. The two days of the main conference will start with general sessions followed by concurrent track sessions, allowing attendees to choose which session is most applicable to them. Here’s a closer look at the track sessions you’ll be able to choose from.

Thursday, May 2

After a morning filled with sessions focused on the latest regulatory changes and the impacts on SNPs and members as well as dual eligible state integration, the conference will split into two concurrent tracks. Track A will focus on SNPs success and Track B will focus on caregiver support and guidance.

Track A sessions include:

  • Supplemental benefits for the chronically ill (SSBCI) regulation changes and utilization
  • Tools and technology spotlights from leading service providers on the latest and greatest tech tools to bring back to your organization
  • Vendor collaboration, communication, and oversite
  • Audit readiness for success
  • Transition of MMP to HIDE or FIDE

Friday, May 3

The final day of the conference will start off with general sessions on the impact of the enrollee advisory committee and face-to-face requirement updates, as well as cost reduction and utilization management for SNPs membership. The track sessions will continue their own focuses. Track A will now focus on I-SNP and IDD improvement and Track B will continue its focus on caregiver support and guidance.
